Chefs For Farmers originally launched as a farm-to-table dinner concept in 2010, and as it grew, the annual festival quickly became Dallas’ premiere multi-day food and wine event known for bringing chefs, restaurants, and local farmers together. With an impressive lineup for this year’s festival, Chefs For Farmers will kick off this fall with a bang beginning Wednesday, November 2 through Sunday, November 6, benefitting McKinney Roots, the Seed Project Foundation’s donation farm aimed at eliminating hunger in Collin County with fresh, organic produce.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Chefs for Farmers as the beneficiary of this year’s festivities!” said Rick Wells, president of the Seed Project Foundation. “The Seed Project Foundation has been supporting our local North Texas farmers for the last six years from our home in McKinney, and we’re very excited to share our mission with Dallas. The funds we raise through Chefs for Farmers will benefit our donation farm McKinney Roots, allowing us to grow and donate more fresh organic produce to feed the hungry in our area.”
Not only does the event feature an extensive chef, artisan, and farmer lineup, but also guests can expect to see several fun event activations and experiences. Chefs For Farmers’ goal is to showcase the dynamic talents of Dallas chefs, artisans and farmers who make exceptional, seasonal, and sustainable food possible. Known for celebrating Dallas as an established food city, guests can enjoy a handful of exquisite and mouth-watering experiences that highlight local dishes the city has to offer. As good food citizens of the world, the Chefs For Farmers team balance their dedication to sustainability, eco-consciousness, and charity with their greatest goal: showcasing the best food and wine festival Dallas has ever seen.
In one mouth-watering, calorie-filled culinary festival, Chefs For Farmers is the ultimate food event you don’t want to miss. The weekend attracts foodies of all ages (21+) with its “come as you are”, no-fuss, party with live music, DJs, and plenty of engaging activities.
