Primo’s at the Statler Shutters to Make Way for Prime Steakhouse

Primo’s MX Kitchen & Lounge at The Statler in Downtown Dallas shuttered its doors as of Sunday, Feb. 19. But the team at Refined Hospitality Concepts has big plans for the luxurious dining space it leaves behind. Work is currently underway to reinvent the space as LVI. The downtown steakhouse is slated to open in May.

The restaurant’s name, which is 56 in Roman numerals, reflects the history of The Statler. The hotel first opened its doors in 1956 and was immediately hailed as a wonder of design and technology. The first major hotel built in Dallas in 30 years, the Statler introduced guests to the first hotel elevator music, first in-room televisions, and more. LVI plans to embrace the midcentury glamor and style that has defined The Statler since its inception.

Olivella’s Pizza & Wine in Fort Worth Completes Expansion

Olivella’s Pizza & Wine, the critically acclaimed Roman and Neapolitan-style pizza kitchen, has completed a 1,200-square-foot expansion of its existing space located “on the bricks” at 4910 Camp Bowie in Fort Worth. Its ‘new’ 3,000-square-foot space now offers a full-service dine-in experience that can seat up to 70 guests, a full bar, a sommelier-curated wine list, daily food and drink specials, and online ordering.

Join the Quarter Bar on February 21 to laissez les bons temps rouler

The Quarter Bar invites patrons to join them on Tuesday, February 21, 3 PM to close, for a Fat Tuesday celebration. Enjoy $6 Frozen Hurricane cocktails and $4 Abita bottles on their rooftop deck overlooking Downtown Dallas. Snack on Bread Winner’s Gumbo, Crawfish Etoufée or Po Boy’s in addition to their regular offerings of Cajun Fries, VooDoo Fries, Sliders, Wings, Flatbreads and more. Starting at 9 PM a DJ will be on hand to spin the crowd into a full state of Mardi Gras madness. 

Mardi Gras is French for “Fat Tuesday” and is the celebratory carnival that leads up to the beginning of Lent, the season of fasting and penitence. It gets its name from the practice of consuming foods that would be forbidden during Lent leading up to the beginning of the fast on Ash Wednesday. Legendary Restauranter to Open Loop 9 BBQ

Loop 9 BBQ, a new restaurant concept featuring prime brisket and other connoisseur-level barbecued meats, opens to the public March 6, 2023.  Loop 9 BBQ will soon be one of the first restaurants to open in Grand Prairie’s growing 172-acre entertainment center, EpicCentral.
