Memphis is renowned for pulled pork-shoulder doused in sweet tomato-based sauce (eaten on its own or as a sandwich). North Carolina smokes the whole hog in a vinegar-based sauce. Younger Partners Acquires Former Fred’s Texas Cafe Site

Younger Partners, a leading full-service commercial real estate firm based in Dallas, has successfully acquired the site formerly occupied by Fred’s  Texas Cafe adjacent to Artisan Circle in Fort Worth. The property, located at 915 Currie Street,  spans 6,501 square feet. As of now, Younger Partners remains undecided on a specific redevelopment plan for the acquired site.

Urbano Cafe Lives On!

Since they announced our closure earlier this month, a buyer who wants to carry on the business has come forward and we are delighted to let you know that Urbano will remain open under new ownership.

What is particularly exciting is that the new owners are keeping the front-of-the-house and kitchen teams on board, and Kevan, who has been at Urbano for over a decade, will be promoted to general manager. That means you’ll still enjoy the same great food and see all the familiar faces that have made Urbano such a special place.

The new owners are local residents and experienced East Dallas restaurateurs, and they believe they understand what Urbano has meant to the community and want to preserve the essence of what it is. More to come from them as they take over next month.

They are accepting reservations through February 17 ( including Valentine’s Day) at 214-823-8550 where you will see Mitch and Kristen Kauffman running the restaurant until the transition, February 17th.
