NBA All-Star Weekend in Dallas: A Look Back at the Highlights

The NBA has selected Salt Lake City for 2023, followed by Indianapolis in 2024. Beyond that, there is uncertainty about future locations for hosting an NBA All-Star Weekend. USA TODAY Sports suggests that San Francisco, Milwaukee, and Atlanta are likely candidates. The economic benefits make hosting the event appealing to any city, especially considering the impact of COVID-19 on tourism. As things hopefully return to normal, being a host city becomes even more desirable. The NBA expects Salt Lake City to generate over $100 million from hosting the event in 2023, although calculations indicate it may be closer to $50 million.

Leela’s Wine Bar is transforming into a “Holiday House”, for their annual immersive holiday pop-up experience, now through January 1.

While all locations will have holiday house decor and cocktails, the recently reopened Greenville Ave location is the largest transformation at 1914 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75206. 

The yearly collaboration with designer turned entrepreneur Karla Gallegos, founder of The Planting Hand, the popular holiday pop-up returns better than ever. After updates to the interior (also designed by Gallegos), Karla envisioned an “escape from the normal chaos the holidays bring!” She explains, “Expect a decked-out snowy winter vibe this year, perfect for a night celebrating connection with family and friends.
