Shayna’s Place to Open Annex on Beckley

Shayna’s Place, the popular sandwich and coffee shop at Sylvan Thirty in West Dallas, has opened a new neighborhood outpost for its wares: Shayna’s Annex, located at 1605 N. Beckley Avenue (at Greenbriar Lane, in the space formerly occupied by Local Press & Brew).

“Folks visiting or working in the Methodist Hospital district, as well as our neighbors commuting up Beckley Avenue each morning, have a convenient new spot to grab a coffee, smoothie and a quick bite,” said owner Lou Olerio. Continue reading

Chefs For Farmers Returns With Early Bird Tickets Now On Sale

One of Dallas’ most anticipated food and wine festivals, Chefs For Farmers, returns with notable chefs November 1-3, 2019. Limited quantities of early bird tickets are available now through August 25. Texas All Star Craft Beer, Wine and Cocktail Festival

Earlier this month, Globe Life Park hosted Texas All Star Craft Beer, Wine and Cocktail Festival in Arlington, TX. The road to this festival was rough, however, the end results proved fruitful. The festival featured hundreds of craft beer, wine, and cocktail brands from around DFW and the world. Mavs Back to School Rally August 19th

The Dallas Mavericks are kicking off the school year by encouraging active and healthy lifestyles in the Dallas Independent School District. B52’s Blast DFW August 20th

For more than 40 years, the B-52s have been considered pioneers for the New Wave scene of the late ’70s and early ’80s. But more so, the band championed Pride culture through its own out members, including front man Fred Schneider, guitarist Keith Strickland and founding member Ricky Wilson, who died in 1985 due to complications from AIDS. Now North Texans have a chance to see the original  alternative rockers bring their slew of hits, such as “Rock Lobster” and “Love Shack,” in Grand Prairie.
