Owner Phil Schanbaum says the goodbye is rooted in gratitude. High Fives, he notes, was always about community—neighbors, Red Raider loyalists, and regulars who turned a sports bar into a second home. He credits the staff in particular, calling them the heart of the place and the reason it became what it was.

High Five Celebrates 2 Years on June 8th

high fiveby Steven Doyle

A fun hot spot that is a wee bit hidden on McMillan and Henderson is High Five. We gave them some love when they first opened and have continued to enjoy this tight atmosphere that is neither pretentious or self-indulgent.

June 8th High Fives celebrates two years on the grid and will feature live music and a DJ, a tot eating contest ($250 for the victor), a dunk tank and much more fun and high jinks. There will also be complimentary high fives given for those in need of positive affirmation.

To enter the contest please email Marc@highfivesdallas.com, this should be fun.
