Many mourned the loss of Brian C. Luscher’s hotdoggery in Deep Ellum but as with all great things you may now find the dog in a sandwich shop that happens to make excellent subs. The hot dog is dressed wonderfully, sans neon relish, but still delicious. Luscher’s Announces “Rush Hour” Deals

Luscher’s Red Hots announces “Rush Hour” Monday through Friday from 5pm-7pm. Enjoy $4 Post Oak Red Hots, Depression Dogs and Kraut Dogs, $10 Goose Island draft beer pitchers and $2.50 local canned brews, drafts and wines by the glass while rocking out to the legendary band Rush.

Chicagoland native Brian C. Luscher, whose desire for the perfect dog was so great that he took matters, and meat, into his own hands and launched Luscher’s Red Hot’s in 2015. The ultimate take on the Chicago dog, smoked with oak and made by hand with all-natural, locally raised meats, breads and produce has garnered attention all over Dallas – Fort Worth. Luscher’s Red Hots:  You might know Brian Luscher; chef, charcuterie maven, owner of The Grape. A few years back he moved into a new arena when he devised the Post Oak Red Hot. This snappy and delicious rendition is part of a full line up of dog related bites that includes an oak smoked hot dog made with locally raised meats. Just months ago the chef opened Luscher’s Red Hots in Deep Ellum where you not only can find this delicious example of a hot dog, but also one of the best burgers in Dallas, along with a few other treats that include sausages. Luscher also has a line of hand-made accouterments  to devise your own Chi Dog at home including sport peppers, spicy brown mustard and sweet and hot cucumbers.   Continue reading

Luscher’s Red Hots Brings A Taste Of Chicago To Deep Ellum

I can only envision how chef Brian C. Luscher sees the world. I am sure it is bacon lined, sausage filled, and burger-fied. This is a good thing. The man sticks with what he does best, and that is to bring a slice of Chicago to the good people of Dallas, Texas. He makes simply the very best hot dog in the state, and has a few updated tricks up his sleeve at his new restaurant, Luscher’s Red Hots located in Deep Ellum. The amount of media coverage has been so overwhelming that he apologized to his fans on Facebook. No apology necessary. Just keep doing what you do best, chef.   Continue reading

Restaurant Openings This Week

There are a few key restaurant openings this week that you should take note about. There are several.

Luscher’s Red Hots is located in Deep Ellum at 2653 Commerce, and will, of course, feature those amazing dogs hand crafted by Brian Luscher, owner of The Grape on Greenville. This long awaited hot spot also serves up shaved Wagyu beef Italian sandwiches (the latest rage in Dallas), Greek gyros, roasted pork and gairdinera sandwiches served with natural gravy, and the beloved “Uncle Jimmy” which is a creation of Luscher’s made with roasted pork and sweet and hot Italian sausage.    Continue reading
