The wait is almost over! The 29th annual DFW Restaurant Week is coming this August, and it’s bringing more flavor and fun than ever before. What started as just one week of delicious dining deals has grown into a month-long foodie celebration, with 160+ local restaurants offering special menus — all for a great cause.

Mark your calendar: it all kicks off Sunday, August 4 through Saturday, August 10, with many restaurants extending their deals through August 31. Want a sneak peek? Some spots are offering Preview Weekend menus July 31 – August 3.

Birdcall is Expanding to McKinney with a New Fast-Casual Chicken Spot

Birdcall, the fast-casual craft chicken chain known for its all-natural chicken, award-winning sandwiches, and more, is set to open its second Dallas-Fort Worth location in McKinney! The new restaurant will open its doors on Monday, February 17 at 10:30 a.m. at 4702 West University Drive.

To celebrate, the first 50 customers will have the chance to win free chicken sandwiches for a year! Plus, Birdcall will donate sales from the grand opening events to Streetside Showers, a local organization providing mobile hot showers and hygiene care for those in need, and the Baylor Scott & White Foundation, which supports community health initiatives.

Delucca Gaucho Pizza & Wine Expands into Las Colinas

Delucca Gaucho Pizza & Wine locations across Texas, are excited to continue expansion into the Dallas-Fort Worth market with their latest restaurant in Las Colinas. At Delucca, the emphasis is on the social experience. Guests are allowed more time to socialize in groups due to the continuous dining service with multiple flavors of Neapolitan pizza and set starters coursed out from start to finish.

The experience encourages guests to spend less time looking at the menu and more time tasting new and familiar flavors. The appeal and significant ease of the continuous Rodizio-style pizza service and one five-course menu for $25.95 per person caught on quickly with diners.

Texas Restaurant Opening – James Provisions

James Provisions is the DWF area’s newest spring restaurant opening by way of New York City. Owner Deborah Williamson, who first founded James on a beautiful brownstone block in Brooklyn, ran the restaurant for over 15 years before returning home in 2022 and bringing James with her – starting its next chapter in Hurst, TX.

RaceTrac’s Waffle Breakfast Sandwich Returns for Limited Time 

Is it sweet or is it savory? RaceTrac fans have the opportunity to decide, now that the Waffle Breakfast Sandwich is back for a limited time only. Featuring savory sausage, egg and cheese between two sweet and crispy waffles, the Waffle Breakfast Sandwich quickly became a customer favorite when it was initially introduced for a short period in November 2021. Sweet and savory-lovers alike will have to act fast because this popular menu item disappears Jan. 31, 2023.
