Luck Hosting A Beer Paired Dinner April 8

luckby Steven Doyle

The boys who are opening Luck, the new restaurant slated to open in just a few months in Trinity Groves, will be hosting another pop-up dinner in preparation of the restaurant. We have chatted the guys up here, and love their cuisine. Luck will have an affinity for beer, and they plan on using the ingredient often in their recipes along with plenty of beers on tap. If you are curious as to which beers they will feature, think local.  Continue reading →

Experience Art Through Internship

artthinkby Erica Guajardo

Education is a common thing that parents encourage in their children. Whether you are talking about grades, attendance, or college, this subject is an important aspect in a child’s future. Although it may be a hard process for some children to engage with, special education programs may be the twist to what gets your child to interact in school activities. Dallas Contemporary Museum is a non-profit organization which is striving to get the public more involved with ART. By hosting a number of programs, geared towards education, this museum is creating attention grabbing responses by students. Currently hosting six different programs ( “Taking It to the Streets”, “Art Think”, “Chit-Chat”, “DCU”, Espace, and Renaissance Program) this space is changing how Museum’s educate their youth.   Continue reading →

Cooking Classes at 3015: Week One

3015by Robyn Folmar

Mondays are no longer a kick to the gut now that the Trinity Groves 3015 Cooking Basics class has begun. Mike has worked in the food industry since he was a teenager and is apparently an overachiever because he’s also a doctor. This will probably come in handy since I am 67% sure I am going to slice off a bit of my finger at some point.     Continue reading →

The Corner Bar Is Adding A Fine Dining Component

DSC06417by Steven Doyle

Steve and Brandy Spence met each other in their fourth year at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. He always knew he wanted to own his own restaurant and went to the CIA to get the total understanding of how restaurants work. Brandy, on the other hand, wanted to be a surgeon and was pre-med at the University of Texas in Austin when the restaurant bug bit her. She went to her father and claimed she wanted to be a chef. Being the good father, he helped her find the best culinary school in the United States.   Continue reading →
