Influencer culture comes to life Prim and Proper in Legacy West

Located inside the center of Legacy West’s new department store, Neighborhood Goods, Prim and Proper is a full service bar and restaurant offering retail shoppers drinks, sandwiches, salads, and other hors d’oeuvres as they take a break from stuffing their bags trendy fashions and accessories.

Neighborhood Goods itself is an innovative concept, bringing to life an array of brands that once only were available for purchase online. It’s very much what Instagram would be like if it had a storefront. The plates and drinks at Prim and Proper are also arranged and designed in an aesthetically pleasing, Instagram-ready fashion. Join Lawry’s this Valentine’s Day

Join Lawry’s this Valentine’s Day for a traditional prime rib dinner for two. The four-course feast includes shrimp cocktail to share, the Original Spinning Bowl Salad and Lawry’s signature roasted prime rib carved tableside with accompaniments including mashed potatoes and a choice of creamed corn or creamed spinach.

An additional entree option of Atlantic salmon with seasonal vegetables is available and each guest will receive a glass of Justin Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon or Sauvignon Blanc. A choice of chocolate covered strawberries or flourless chocolate cake brings the meal to a sweet close.

The Valentine’s Day menu will be offered from Thurs/Feb 14 through Sun/Feb 17 + reservations can be made here.

The Amon Carter Museum of American Art presents With the Help of Friends, on view February 2 through June 2, 2019. The exhibition showcases fifteen dynamic photographs from the museum’s collection ranging from the 1930s to the present day. These works were selected and purchased over the course of seven years by the Amon Carter with the assistance of its photography collection supporters. With the Help of Friends highlights the vibrancy of the museum’s collection in addition to the ongoing relationship with its members, and the key help that members provide in sustaining the collection as one of the world’s leading repositories of American photography. Oishii In Dallas For Lunch Today

There are certain surprises that we stumble across each day, if we are so lucky. Today was one of those days. I had a rare lunch with a really sweet friend and she chose Oishii on Wycliff in Dallas that is located in the shopping center between the Tollway and Maple.  I enjoy my trips to this restaurant, as the menu is vast enough to keep me excited.

We sat at the sushi bar this afternoon catching up on the latest news of the day and she was thumbing through the sushi and sashimi choices. I was looking through the menu fast and furious as I had something particular on my mind for lunch. It was at that moment we both looked up from our menus and said nearly simultaneously — soft shell crab. She said they had the best in town, and I just happened to have a hankering for crab (per usual).    Continue reading

Dee Lincoln Prime in The Star in Frisco has debuted a fresh new winter menu. The new winter  menu features items with seasonal ingredients, including all new appetizers, entrees, and desserts.

Cirque Du Soleil: Amaluna brings divine feminine mystique to Grand Prairie

Last week, Cirque Du Soleil kicked off the Dallas leg of its Amaluna show tour. Performers in Amaluna brought to life classic Shakespearean tales and Greek and Roman myths from a female perspective.

Amaluna is currently running at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie. Attendees of Amaluna will behold performances consisting of stunning, captivating visual elements.
