Why So Serious? Giant Pizza-By-The-Slice in Deep Ellum

At the intersection of grit and indulgence in Dallas’s Deep Ellum neighborhood, Serious Pizza has carved out a name for itself—not through gimmicks, but by doubling down on what it does best: giant, unapologetic New York-style slices served with attitude. Located at 2807 Elm Street, the restaurant is as much a part of the Deep Ellum landscape as the street art and live music that surround it.

Originally opened in 2010 and now operated under the umbrella of the Milkshake Concepts group—known for places like Vidorra, Harper’s, and STIRR—Serious Pizza has maintained its fiercely independent spirit while evolving into a polished, high-volume machine.

Serious Pizza to Open Fort Worth Shop

Serious Pizza – best known for its “Seriously Large” 30” pies – is gearing up to make its Fort Worth debut in May. Located at 2728 West 7th St., Serious Pizza Fort Worth will feature the brand’s over the top experience with giant pies, killer merch and more. 

To help execute its upbeat, welcoming vibe, Serious Pizza is seeking up to 30 individuals for multiple positions, including line cooks, hosts, pizza runners, dough throwers and dish washers. Interested candidates can apply online at seriouspizza.com.

Serious Pizza Celebrates Grand Reopening in Deep Ellum

Serious Pizza is set to start offering guests a bigger, better experience with giant pies, killer merch, weekend DJs and more, when it reopens on Friday, Feb. 26. To celebrate, opening day festivities will include a dough-throwing showcase in the dining room throughout the day, as well as regular features such as a special, branded T-shirt gifted to the last person in line and a DJ spinning music from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m

Are You Seriously Ready for Serious Pizza Grand Re-Opening?

Serious Pizza is set to start offering guests a bigger, better experience with giant pies, killer merch, weekend DJs and more, when it reopens in mid-February.

If you know Serious Pizza, you know they go BIG. Fans will notice the difference as soon as they walk through the door. Not in the Seriously Large 30” New York-style pizza that guests obsess over, but in the overall experience. For starters, this location now boasts a floating DJ booth, suspended from the ceiling! The popular over-the-top pizzeria will also host a live DJ on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, appealing to its infamous late-night crowd, and new lifestyle-focused merchandise will be available for purchase. In addition to renovating the space and enhancing operations, Serious Pizza now features a brand-new team, including a Floor Captain that will help cultivate the in-restaurant experience.

A Dozen Wonderful Pizzas in Dallas That Are Not Neapolitan

We have been in search of the best pizza in Dallas but with a single hitch– not Neapolitan style. We have witnessed an onslaught of pizza being brought to the forefront and most of the new spots in Dallas are of the Neapolitan variety. There will be even more of this style of pizza coming, and that is fantastic. We love this, but what are some of the best non-Neapolitan pizzas in the Dallas area? Glad you asked.
