It’s time for diners to prepare their palates for North Texas’ hottest summer food and wine event, the 16th annual DFW Restaurant Week presented by Central Market. Back with a new name and pricing options to spotlight the stellar lineup of participating restaurants throughout the Metroplex, DFW Restaurant Week will once again be supporting the North Texas Food Bank and Lena Pope Home.
The culinary festivities will kick-off with Reservation Day, July 15, when the much-anticipated list of this year’s participating restaurants and menus will be unveiled at their website, and diners will begin making reservations for the main week of Aug. 12-18. Continue reading

The Lake Flying Saucer’s 4th annual spring BeerFeast 2013 will feature over 25 breweries and 50 craft beers, all carefully selected by the Flying Saucer’s resident beer gurus. In addition, very rare and limited-release beers will be tapped one at time throughout the fest. Food trucks will also be back again this year. Last night there was an impromptu congratulatory party held in the honor of Charlie Pap and Louise Owens, both owners of The Windmill Lounge which was decorated as one of Esquire Magazine’s best bars in America. The Margarita Meltdown has become one of the most anticipated festivals in Dallas during the Memorial Day weekend. Nearly 3,000 thirsty people descended upon Dallas’ Bishop Arts District on Sunday for the 3rd annual Dallas Margarita Meltdown, presented by Milagro Tequila. Thousands of drinks were mixed, poured and served, but only one margarita could be voted as the best. Continue reading
