Texas Monthly Announces Their Austin BBQ Festival

TMBBQ Fest 2015, Texas Monthly’s annual festival for barbecue-lovers, is slated for the afternoon of November 1, 2015, in Austin. Tickets ($80 for general admission, $145 for VIP, $10 for children 5 and under) will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 11.

This marks the magazine’s sixth year to host the festival, which showcases the smoked delicacies from many of the state’s most celebrated barbecue purveyors. All invited pitmasters have been honored by the magazine in the much anticipated cover story “The 50 Best BBQ Joints in the World!”. Guests are encouraged to sample from as many BBQ vendors as their stomachs will allow, plus, for the first time ever, sweet treats by a curated list of dessert shops. Cold libations from sponsors Crown Royal, Don Julio Tequila, and Shiner Beer will be available for purchase, along with giveaways and interactive festivities by sponsors Central Market, Texas A&M University, and YETI Coolers.  Continue reading

Untapped Dallas Saturday, November 7

Untapped Dallas boasts musical acts in addition to over 70 breweries, including the Fancy Lawnmower brew from Texas' oldest brewery, Saint Arnold  at the event in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, September 7, 2013.

Untapped Festival, Texas’ hugely popular craft beer and music festival, returns to Dallas on Saturday, November 7 and officially kicks off NTX Beer Week. Taking place at Dallas’ iconic Fair Park, Untapped Festival expands its footprint with a new location. Presale tickets are available now through July 15.

Fort Worth Untapped May 9th

Untapped Festival  just announced that the 9th edition of Untapped will take place on May 9 at Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth. Earlier this year, Untapped announced the festival series was expanding to both Austin and San Antonio in 2015. The Fort Worth event will mark the 3rd time the festival has taken place at Panther Island Pavilion.

“Fort Worth is a special place for us as the city has always embraced and supported Untapped,” says festival organizer, Matthew Harber of Spune Productions. “Our second event was in Fort Worth and the response really encouraged us to start thinking about expanding to other cities. As the Fort Worth market continues to grow, we are excited to grow alongside it.”  Continue reading

Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival May 16-18

This weekend Richardson will be all abuzz with plenty of excitement for the whole family. Check out the Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival which starts this Friday, May 16 and runs through out the weekend. There will be plenty of stages set up for all musical tastes, along with your favorite artists from across the country, and of course, food of all sorts.

With six performance stages and dozens of concerts planned over the three-day eclectic extravaganza, Wildflower! will bring the best bands and singer-songwriters together in Richardson’s scenic Galatyn Park. Ticket prices include: Three-Day Pass for $30; Single Day Adult for $20; Kids Pass (age 5-12) for $3; and 4 and under are free.
