JOA, a New Korean BBQ Concept is Now Open in Dallas’ Koreatown

JOA, a new concept from former Nuri Grill creators and located in the same space at 2254 Royal Lane, Suite 100, Dallas, Texas 75229 in Koreatown is now open.

Formerly Nuri Grill, the restaurant has been transformed into an approachable, fun, bright and more casual way to bring authentic traditional Korean food to market and created by the same owner, Wan Kim of Restaurant K Roy Restaurant Group and CEO of Smoothie King.

Kim says of the new concept, “JOA will offer DFW locals authentic traditional Korean food, made by the same Michelin chefs from Korea and the same team that brought DFW Nuri Grill and is planning to bring Nuri Steakhouse to Uptown next year. We’ve repurposed the Nuri Grill into a new concept that will serve as another test kitchen for potential growth concepts for Restaurant K Roy Restaurant Group.”

Trick Rider, the Upscale Steak and Seafood Concept at the Omni PGA Frisco Resort, Set to Open this Spring 2023

Trick Rider, an upscale steak and seafood concept paying homage to famed rodeo trick riders and Texas culture, will open this Spring 2023 at the new Omni PGA Frisco Resort at 4341 PGA Parkway, Frisco, TX 75033.

The signature dining concept from Omni Hotels & Resorts was inspired by Sydna Yokley Woodyard, a champion rodeo trick rider who was raised on a Texas ranch, a quarter horse breeder and founder of the American Quarter Horse Association.

The restaurant will feature a menu of premium cuts of in-house dry aged meats with an extensive butchery program as well as high-end seafood from around the world.

 Acclaimed Park Cities’ Bistro – Au Troisième – Rebrands to ‘A·T Bistro’

Au Troisième, the acclaimed Park Cities bistro known for its New American cuisine with global influences, has officially changed its name to ‘A·T Bistro,’ which has been its “short-hand” name since debuting to the public in June 2021. Dallas College Bits & Bites Draws Chefs, Students and Foodies to Dallas Arboretum for Annual Fundraiser

The Dallas College food and wine fundraising event, Bits & Bites, will be held at the Dallas Arboretum’s A Tasteful Place on Sunday, April 16, 6-8 p.m. The annual foodie tradition pairs around 30 of the best local chefs with Dallas College students to serve 18,000 plates of food. The food festival provides training opportunities for Dallas College students and supports sustainable culinary and hospitality programs with enhanced learning and labs.
