Hailing from France, Yuksek is the brainchild of Pierre-Alexandre Busson a man who has been a producer, DJ and pianist in his musical career. DJ Bryan C’s Naughty and Nice List

There are a few openings and closings you might wish to be aware of, and here is the short list.  Many openings about to fly our way towards the end of summer and we will keep you posted.

M Street, the mecca for minors on Greenville Avenue,  has finally closed it’s doors. No word as of yet to what will be in there. Cretia’s on McKinney closed last Saturday and is slated to reopen as The Speakeasy this weekend. Kind of a quick name change if you ask me.  Continue reading

craveDFW Event This Weekend at Milestone!

This event will take place Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Milestone Culinary Arts Center, 4531 McKinney Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75205. Glass Uptown, Strikeforce and More New Action

Strikeforce the Mixed Martial Arts organization purchased by the UFC comes to Dallas this week, while the event at AAC will cost you some cash the weigh ins are free to the public and will be this Friday at 4pm at the AT&T Plaza at the South Entrance of the American Airlines Center. There should be autograph and photo opportunities available.

Hidden Taco Gem Found

While roaming around The Harbor in Rockwall last Thursday during the concert series at the lake I started to get a little hungry but with so many people out there the sit down restaurants were pretty full. As I started to see if there were any street vendors there I came across a small taco stand called Tacos Del Potrillo a side business from it’s main restaurant called El Potrillo De La Sandia located on the North side of The Harbor by the large fountain. Cane Rosso the beloved mecca for pizza in Deep Ellum is opening up on Wednesday Nights and will have a DJ playing 80’s and 90’s party rock hits from 6-10. Hmmm I wonder who the DJ might be?  
 
Wednesday evening will be labeled as Industry Night, but all are welcome.  To kick things off right owner Jay Jerrier is offering $3 craft beer, $5 house wines -or- BYOB.  Continue reading

Concert Series Announced

It’s time again for thousands to head to the shores in Rockwall at The Harbor for its annual and free summer concert series by the lake. The first concert is May 5th Cinco De Mayo with Elvis impersonator David Allen. There will be something for everyone each Thursday night from country, rock, disco, funk, soul, cajun and party bands and it’s all family friendly.   Continue reading
