Following The Taco Trail With José Ralat-Maldonado

There is a man roaming the streets of Dallas with a mission. He is the undisputed king of tacos and is the editor of the Dallas Taco Trail. José Ralat-Maldonado is a fun loving aficionado of tacos and loves good craft beer and life in general. His positive outlook on life is infectious as his love for tacos.

I caught up with Jose just off the heels of a taco inspection at a local taqueria in Oak Cliff. The restaurant swore they had puffy tacos and were well worth inspection. A Visit To Four Corners Brewing Company

The brew news is at a fever pitch this week. Today I was on an exclusive tour through the Trinity Groves and decided to check out the progress of the soon to open Four Corners Brewing Company where I found owner John Sims hard at work cleaning kegs and otherwise waiting for bureaucracy to lend its hand at finalizing his legal permits to operate and produce his first batch of beer at 423 Singleton.

When I entered the brewery that is still under construction I met up with Sims who happened to be chatting with Franconia Brewery owner, Dennis Wehrmann.             Continue reading

FireWheel Brewing Company Opens This Summer *Updated*

One more brewery is in the works in the Dallas area joining the ranks of several very successful brands and a growing list awaiting their premier. FireWheel Brewing Company, owned by 25 year old Brad Perkinson will be located at 2806 Lawning Lane in Rowlett and has been under construction since early Spring 2012.                Continue reading
