Piada Italian Street Food to Open in Frisco

Piada Italian Street Food, one of 2015’s most “buzzed about brands” according to the National Restaurant Association and Restaurant Business magazine, will debut its first location in North Texas in Frisco on November 20.  The fast casual restaurant will occupy a prime spot in The Centre at Preston Ridge development at 3301 Preston Rd., just south of Warren Parkway.  This will be Piada’s second Texas location, after Memorial Park in Houston and soon to be followed by Houston’s Vintage Park.

The Frisco location will feature light filled interiors and modern, European-inspired décor with design elements including warm-stained concrete floors, crisp LED lighting and handmade white oak furniture, plus Carrara marble, brushed aluminum, painted brick and subway tile accents.  Central to Frisco, guests will be close in proximity to Dr. Pepper Arena and Ballpark, Stonebriar Centre, and downtown Frisco.  Continue reading →

Le Taco Hosts Chef Dinner Featuring Don Julio

On September 28th, Le Taco Cantina will host its first chef’s dinner, showcasing the culinary talent of Chef Daniel Tarasevich and his team. Known for its kicked up tacos, the restaurant will be mixing things up and featuring a five-course menu of varied dishes that highlight the Latin-Asian theme. Just one taco will be served, and that’s for dessert.

Each course will be paired with a different expression of Don Julio Tequila, as Chef Tarasevich creates plates that complement the lineup of beautifully-made agave spirits.

Oak Highlands Brewery Grand Opening July 18th

Summer in Dallas is about to get a lot more hoppy Oak Highlands Brewery (OHB) – Lake Highlands’ first craft brewery – set to celebrate its grand opening July 18 with a public event from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Oak Highlands Brewery is a production brewery and taproom in the Lake Highlands area.

Lake Highlands’ neighborhood production brewery and taproom has been several years in the making by local dads Brad Mall and Derrin Williams.  Along with their families and their OHB team, they are proud to extend an invitation to the public to join them on July 18th at 10484 Brockwood in Dallas. Tickets to the OHB Grand Opening, $16.82 in advance and $20 at the door, are available for immediate purchase. Pappas Bros. Steakhouse is hosting a diverse tasting of Bordeaux varietals from around the world Friday, July 10th, 2015 from 6 to 8pm. The great wines of Bordeaux are the result of masterful blending, but each component grape variety can also stand on its own. Guests will enjoy a Bordeaux Varieties tasting that will showcase outstanding examples of wines from around the world that trace their heritage to this classic region.
