When Super Bowl Sunday arrives in Dallas, wings are less a menu item than a civic requirement—and thankfully, this is a city that takes them seriously. Skip the national chains and you’ll find a deep bench of local spots turning out wings worthy of the big game, places where sauces are balanced, fryers are dialed in, and TVs are plentiful.

This Valentine’s Day, Waterloo Gin adds a rosy twist to a classic with the Pink Negroni, a cocktail designed for sharing—and making—together.
This isn’t your standard Negroni. It’s pink, floral, and noticeably more approachable. The base is Waterloo Gin’s Prickly Pear & Rose, which gives the drink a fresh, lightly floral lift right from the start. Pink vermouth and Lillet Rosé add softness and balance, while a few dashes of grapefruit bitters bring just enough bite. Stirred over ice and finished with a grapefruit peel, the result is lighter, brighter, and a little more playful than the original.
It’s freezing outside, the kind of cold that seeps through coats and makes you crave something more than just warmth—you need sustenance that hugs you from the inside out. In Richardson, King’s Noodles is the perfect refuge. Tiny, unassuming, and often crowded, this little shop serves up bowls of comfort that make the cold melt away.
Opera gives us kings, gods, and seducers. Rigolettogives us a man who knows the world is cruel—and believes he can protect what he loves from it. He can’t.
Giuseppe Verdi’s1851 masterpiece centers on Rigoletto, a court jester deformed in body and scorned in society. He survives by mocking the powerful, using cruelty as armor. Every insult reminds him he doesn’t belong—but at home, he is fiercely devoted to his daughter, Gilda. He hides her, shelters her, and convinces himself that ignorance equals safety. The love is real. The fear is genuine. The harm is inevitable.
