Brisket Love BBQ will open its first location on Tuesday, March 10th in Legacy Hall, located at 7800 Windrose Ave. in Plano. The barbecue joint will open on the first floor of Legacy Hall across from Velvet Taco and offer top quality smoked meats and classic sides with a focus on sandwiches.

Brisket Love BBQ’s meats are smoked onsite in the Box Garden using Post Oak to develop a deeper, richer flavor profile and prominent smoke ring. Smoked meats include prime grade brisket, pulled pork, smoked turkey, and smoked jalapeno cheddar sausage. Individual meats are available for purchase by the quarter and half pound. Continue reading

Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille Relocates to New Park District Location

Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille will soon make its move down the street into the Park District development at 2100 Olive Street.

Perry’s Uptown on McKinney will celebrate its final dinner service on Saturday, March 21st. Then, it will reopen its doors to the public in Park District with dinner beginning at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 26th. The new Perry’s Park District will occupy the two-story space below the Residences at Park District at the corner of Woodall Rodgers Freeway and Olive Street, with expansive views of Klyde Warren Park and Downtown Dallas. Travis Street Gains Butcher Shop

Georgie by Curtis Stone, the Knox District restaurant, announced today that it will open its Butcher Shop early March. The long awaited addition has intrigued guests since the November 2019 restaurant opening. The cuts of meat hanging from the window has made Dallas diners wonder when it would open for business.

“The G Butcher Shop is committed to provide the highest quality meats that have been brought to market in a manner that is in line with our principals,” said Stephan Courseau. “Our in-house butcher, Mike Lawson, is known for his passion and mastery of butchery, and is part of a movement known as ‘ethical’ butchering.” Continue reading

Commissioner Miller Kicks Off Breakfast Week

Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller announced the start of School Breakfast Week, which runs March 2 through 6, 2020, and reminds Texas students that a great day starts with a healthy breakfast. The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) administers the School Breakfast Program in Texas, collaborating with more than 8,000 schools to serve about 1.8 million morning meals every school day. During School Breakfast Week, eating a super breakfast has special significance as staff, students and faculty join in the celebration.
