Copeland Memorial Dinner At FT33

On Sunday April 14th,  a memorial dinner in honor of Randall “Big Cat” Copeland will be held at FT33 at 6 p.m. In the weeks leading up to Copeland’s passing, Chef Matt McCallister had been planning a dinner with Copeland. McCallister has decided to go through with the dinner, and has asked some of Copeland’s closest friends to join in honoring one of our city’s most loved chefs.        Continue reading

Bradford Hodgkins Named Chef de Cuisine At FT33

Bradford Hodgkins has been named Chef de Cuisine at FT33. Hodgkins joins the culinary team at Matt McCallister’s Design District restaurant, where he will work in the kitchen with his former colleague from Stephan Pyles, now Owner and Executive Chef of FT33.

Q&A With FT33 GM and Sommelier Ryan Tedder

We met with Ryan Tedder, the sommelier and general manager for FT33 which opens this Saturday, October 13, 2012. Tedder spent time at Stephan Pyles and more recently at Grace in Fort Worth, and is a good friend of Matt McCallister’s who is the chef-owner of the restaurant FT33. Tedder is an interesting, laid back soul who was recently married and also named the best sommelier in the state of Texas at the TexSom event in August.

McCallister’s FT33 Opens October 13

McCallister Spills The Beans On FT33

Matt McCallister’s peeps sends word that his new place is officially opening. The press release has so much info we are presenting it to you as is. Be sure to note the short stack of uni and chive pancakes. The design sounds pretty special. He also notes his pastry chef Joshua Valentine who McCallister imported.
