Another session of Savor Dallas has been tucked under our belts, and formidable host Jim White is already at work planning the 2014 version. This year White seemed more at ease with his progeny, having planned what can only be described as a perfect series of events that lasted nearly an entire week.
Tonight marks the first Savor Dallas event in the new Trinity Groves area of Dallas. This is the new culinary destination just west of the newish Margaret Hunt Hill bridge. Look for the event to take place in 3015, the event center and cooking school owned by chef Sharon Van Meter. This particular leg of Savor Dallas will feature many of the up and coming chefs to occupy one of the many spaces in Trinity Groves and benefits Hunger Busters, an organization that feeds at risk children. Savor Dallas is one of the premier food and wine events in Texas, and enjoyed each year by literally thousands of enthusiasts. The event seems to be growing at a quicker clip each year with more interesting and exciting events to get people out of the house and exposed to our wonderful restaurants, and of course the wine.
Jim White is Dallas gem and has planned for even more this year with events spreading out over an entire week. The Arboretum explodes in the Spring and on Sunday, March 17, 2013 you will be able to stroll the grounds and enjoy premium wines, beers and spirits. You will also find some nice restaurants and caterers on hand to help make the evening even more delicious. Continue reading →

Friday evening, as part of the infamous Savor Dallas event, a friend and I participated in the Arts District Stroll. The event started at 5:00pm, not allowing for us worker bees to arrive on time. We raced in and registered at the Meyerson, ready to mix and mingle with our fellow Dallasites. Continue reading →
