bobsby Steven Doyle

Laura Rathe Fine Art announces a solo exhibition with Meredith Pardue

Dallas Design District Gallery, Laura Rathe Fine Art, announces a solo exhibition I AM THE SUN, featuring new works by renowned artist, Meredith Pardue. The opening days will take place on Friday, May 14th and Saturday, May 15th. The artist will be in attendance on Saturday, May 15th from 1-4pm. Appointments are recommended.

Meredith Pardue’s solo exhibition I AM THE SUN, is rooted in humankind’s relationship with the sun, and the inherent mystery and rituals this rapport has inspired throughout human history. Pardue’s palette ranges from explosive saturation to moody and dark monochromes. The mark making of this body of work spans from brushwork reminiscent of mid-century abstract expressionists to raw, primitive strokes. The exhibition also includes compositions with pod like forms that seem to undulate around, within, and beyond the parameters of the canvas in what has become Pardue’s signature aesthetic over the last decade.
