Dallas Design District gallery, Laura Rathe Fine Art, announces Metamorphosis, a two-person show featuring new works by Charles Patrick and Paul Rousso. LRFA will be hosting an opening reception on Saturday, January 8th, from 5-8pm.
Both Charles Patrick and Paul Rousso are masters of transforming 2-D materials into three-dimensional works of art. They each source vintage materials such as newspapers, magazines, comics, currency, maps, flags, and other ephemera. Living in a world between the paper and digital ages, both artists give new life to these materials through their complex and layered processes; and even incorporate the butterfly as a symbol of this rebirth.
