This past Sunday, some of Dallas’s most well known bartenders and mixologists gathered at DEC on Dragon to showcase the best cocktails in town. Attendees of the Chefs for Farmers Mix Off were each allotted two pig-shaped tokens to be used to vote for the best cocktail and food dish of the evening. Below is a list of winners of the night. 2017 Chefs for Farmers

Now in its seventh year, Chefs for Farmers has blossomed into one of the best food and wine events in the state of Texas, and the expansion for the main event was overwhelmingly evident. Started by chef Matt McCallister of FT33 and Iris Midler along with a handful of chef friends and farmers, the first year was a long-table event at Eden’s Garden Organic Garden Center and CSA Farm in Balch Springs that paired eight chefs from five Dallas restaurants for one evening of dining and music to benefit and celebrate our local farms. Chefs For Farmers (CFF) 2017, the down-home, no-fuss festival celebrating top chefs and local food, will be bigger than ever before with more than 150 combined chefs, food artisans, bartenders, breweries, wineries, and distillers.

This year is to be the best and brightest yet in what we have described as the pinnacle of food festivals in Texas.

The fifth annual festival will again feature exciting pop up dinners, delectable tastings, and parties that celebrate the vibrant Dallas culinary scene with talented chefs from across Texas and beyond. Chefs for Farmers 2016 Bigger and Brighter Event, September 23-25

Chefs For Farmers is an annual food and wine festival held in Dallas that brings chefs, artisans and culinary influencers together to celebrate supporting local and regional farmers at a three-day culinary blowout. Now in its 5th year, the festival will be held Friday, Saturday 23 – Sunday, September 25, 2016 with the mission to celebrate supporting the local and regional farming industry. 

In addition to some of the hottest chefs in Dallas, national chefs are also participating. This year, 60+ chefs along with 35+ farmers/artisans and 50+ wineries, breweries and distilleries are all gathered for this “down home no mess, no fuss” weekend.  Please note that the Sunday event has been moved to Gilley’s due to rain concerns.
