Mudhen Meat and Greens Opens Jan 18th
Mudhen Meat and Greens, the highly anticipated eatery at the Dallas Farmer’s Market opens Monday, January 18 at 5pm with lunch and weekend brunch service announced shortly. Mudhen is the newest concept from restaurateurs Shannon Wynne, Keith Schlabs and Larry Richardson.
Executive Chef Suki Otsuki uses fresh, seasonal produce and clean meats in tasty and creative combinations on an extensive menu that includes starters, salads, sandwiches, B.Y.O.B – Build Your Own Bowl and entree selections. Scardello’s Second Location Now Open In Dallas Farmers Market
Scardello Artisan Cheese will officially open its doors in the Dallas Farmers Market’s The Market, on January 8, 2016. Cheesemonger Rich Rogers, alongside Cheese Enthusiast and Manager Austin Dupree, have secured a prime 400- square-foot, end-cap space inside the Market, a premier space for slinging cheese.
“We are thrilled about the official opening of our Dallas Farmers Market location. While we have always had a great mix of domestic and international cheeses at Oak Lawn, we are excited to focus more intensely on US and Texas producers at The Market. We look forward to working in a new and collaborative environment with some other great purveyors and producers,” said Rich Rogers, proprietor and cheesemonger at Scardello Artisan Cheese. Evening in the Shed Begins This Thursday
Beginning this Thursday, June 4 and occurring every Thursday evening, the Dallas Farmers Market is hosting an Evening in the Shed (formally known as Market After Dark) from 4-9pm. There will be farmers, artisan food and drinks (including local wine and beer), arts and crafts vendors, live music, vendor demos, and more.
This Thursday evening local jazz singer Sherna Armstrong will be performing and Fernando Moreno of Pachi Pachi Valley Cheese will demonstrate how to make mozzarella.

Dallas Farmers Market Announces New Changes
The Dallas Farmers Market continues its progressive revitalization efforts by announcing today major operational changes underway at The Shed. The changes will help the Dallas Farmers Market become a true, sustainable farmers market in which visitors can expect to find local farmers and producers selling food that is grown and sourced locally with minimal handling and processing. Under the management of new Director of Market Operations Amanda Vanhoozier, these improvements will be in place by June 1. Continue reading

Scardello Cheese Update
The news came out recently that Scardello is working on an expansion project at the new Dallas Farmers Market and will be part of the indoor shopping and dining experience called The Market (formerly known as Shed 2).
There are loads of great vendors that will make coming to the Farmer’s market a great experience. After grabbing fresh, local produce at The Shed (the Farmers Market’s outdoor area) you’ll be able to come into The Market for spices, fish and meats, soup stocks and even grab a coffee or Italian pastries and of course, cheese.
