Built in 1922 and renovated in 2014, the building is appropriately known as Cannon’s Village after Cannon’s 5-Cent store became the anchor tenant in the 1950’s.
Cannon’s Corner showcases traditional Irish culture through a thoughtful food and beverage program. Owner Alan Kearney tells us, “It’s important to me to serve the community that surrounds us. Go Oak Cliff is hosting the 13th annual Bastille on Bishop, a localized celebration of France’s Independence Day. The street festival will feature food trucks including Dallas Grilled Cheese, Bisous Bisous, and Great Galette; wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages; street performers including mimes and musicians. This year, the fête adds The Ben E. Keith Main Stage a lively feature which will centralize top entertainment including the fun gypsy French-inspired Le Pompe band and Oak Cliff’s own Spinster Records.
