Updated Menu At Goodfriend

schnitzengruebenby Steven Doyle

Many of you have experienced the amazing patio offerings at Goodfriend Beer Garden and Burger House. They have been open just over a year in their East Dallas digs, and have been crazy busy selling their amazing selection of brews and those killer burgers made by the crew next door at Good 2 Go Taco. There is a little pass through that enables Goodfriend to take all the credit for those burgers, but they are really being cranked out by chefs Jeana Johnson and Colleen O’Hare.

We just received word that there are a few new menu items at Goodfriend, and we will be heading over there this evening to graze through the offerings.      Continue reading →

Elbow Room Opened This Weekend For A Little Teaser Party

elbow roomby Steven Doyle

There have been rumblings at the old Elbow Room as they make final preparations to re-open their doors. I can almost smell that incredible pizza and the slurpy good drinks as I envision my butt sitting on the covered portion of the back patio. The pop-up dinner was held in the comfortable digs at Four Corners Brewing Company, also in Trinity Groves. I had the pleasure to dine with Four Corners owner Greg Leftwich, who is also a huge fan of Uno’s work.     Continue reading →

DSC05597by Steven Doyle

I am still suffering from the Oak Cliff Mardi Gras celebration yesterday, and especially thrilled by the ginormous parade as it tooled its way down Davis aiming eastward towards Bishop Arts. The sidewalks were brimming with cheering hoards as they were on the receiving end of beads, baubles and tiny treats.   Continue reading →
