Chiladas Opening In Park Cities

Last Saturday I was in Holy Ravioli and noticed the space next door was being renovated with plenty of signage stating that Chiladas would soon occupy the space. Today we get further confirmation in an email from their agency that they are indeed moving to the Park Cities location at 4448 Lovers Lane in the space formerly occupied by Mango Thai.  Continue reading

Battuto Just A Few Weeks From Opening

Gene and Julie Gates are a few steps closer to opening their North Dallas rustic Italian eatery,  Battuto Italian Kitchen. They have been keep their Facebook fans in tune with each step of the restaurants construction, and today send a photo of their Certificate of Occupancy which allows them to actually start cooking in their kitchen.   Continue reading

Luck To Open In Trinity Groves

We received word very late Friday afternoon about another new concept working its way into Trinity Groves. Luck will be craft beer inspired kitchen, and is owned by Jeff Dietzman, Daniel Pittman and Ned Steel. The threesome plan to open early summer as more restaurants in Trinity Groves will be rolling out new concepts in stages.

Luck will feature American regional cuisine and promote breweries within a 50 mile radius. They will not be serving beer in cans or bottles, strictly brews from their 40 taps.   Continue reading

Greenville Ave Londoner Launch This Weekend

The Londoner Pub, a traditional British pub with several locations around the Metroplex, will celebrate its new home on Greenville Avenue with a launch party Saturday, February 23.  Themed a “British Invasion” the event will embrace and share all things British.  Partygoers will enjoy live music by A Hard Night’s Day – a Beatle’s tribute band; English signature cocktails, craft English beer, and pub fare.

The Londoner Pub has been the go-to venue for soccer matches; craft beer and English fare since Barry Tate opened his first Dallas pub in 1990.  Mr. Tate’s newest location in Dallas has settled in the historic Greenville Bar and Grill location originally established in 1933.        Continue reading

Sharon Hage To Consult With The LOT To Open On East Grand

Longtime restaurateur John McBride has teamed up with culinary consultant Sharon Hage and designer Hatsumi Kuzuu to open a new concept in the heart of East Dallas. Set to debut on Monday, February 25th, The LOT will be part American restaurant serving genuine fare, part neighborhood beer garden pouring Texas beers, and part casual gathering place for all to enjoy.

“We have revived the best lot in town, a tranquil, two-acre spot designed with unique common spaces to ensure everyone feels welcome,” says managing partner John McBride, whose family started and previously owned and operated El Fenix. “The idea is to create a modern-day third place, giving our neighbors a new place to unwind and savor a meal that’s unique and extraordinary — a place they can call their own.”    Continue reading

The Blind Butcher Coming To Lower Greenville

Matt Tobin and Josh Yingling, the team behind popular East Dallas bar Goodfriend Beer Garden & Burger House, have joined forces with Chef Oliver Sitrin, formerly of Village Marquee Grill & Bar, to open a new concept on Lower Greenville. Expected to open late spring, The Blind Butcher will focus on house-made meats and, of course, a stellar lineup of craft beers.

“With the addition of Trader Joe’s, the food truck park, and several restaurants, there is a renaissance taking place on Lower Greenville. We’re excited to be a part of the area’s revitalization,” says co-owner Matt Tobin. Continue reading

Rusty Barn To Open In Richardson

Look for a new burger bar to open next to the Alamo Drafthouse that is currently under construction in the Richardson Heights Shopping Center located on Belt Line and North Central Expressway. The Rusty Barn will serve upscale burgers and craft beer.
