“Finding Hetch Hetchy: The Hidden Yosemite,” a new short climbing documentary jointly produced by Burkard Studios and Q Stories, will premiere at Mountainfilm Festival in Telluride on May 27. The film features veteran climbers Timmy O’Neill and Lucho Rivera, one of the few familiar with the canyon, for a dramatic and spirited ascent of Hetch Hetchy Dome.
The fun starts with a live performance by DFW-based ‘80s cover band, 80s Gadgets at 7 p.m. Then, at 8:15 p.m., get your dancing shoes ready for a lesson on some of the decade’s most iconic dance moves. Put those moves to the test when 80s Gadgets returns to the stage at 8:45 p.m., closing the night out with live renditions of nostalgic pop, rock and new wave tunes.
On June 22, Terra at Eataly Dallas invites Dallas wine enthusiasts to Terra Wine Around, an exclusive wine tasting featuring four wines. Salvatore Ferragamo II, CEO of Il Borro winery and grandson of famed Italian designer, will guide through a tasting of his family’s Tuscan wine, Il Borro. For the first time since the 2011 Championship Season, the Dallas Mavericks have advanced to the Western Conference Finals (WCF). With the first two games on the road against the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco, the Mavericks will defend home court at American Airlines Center for Game 3 on Sunday, May 22 at 8 p.m. and Game 4 on Tuesday, May 24 at 8 p.m., presented by Chime, the official jersey patch sponsor of the Dallas Mavericks.
