Voicebox headed to Crockett Row in FW

Voicebox, a private suite karaoke experience founded in Portland, Oregon, is heading east and will open its fifth location this fall in Fort Worth, Texas. The new location will open this fall in Crockett Row at West 7th, a vibrant destination to eat, drink, shop and explore in the heart of the Cultural District in Fort Worth. Voicebox is a decade-old Portland-based specialty entertainment venue featuring a relaxed, personal environment for guests to enjoy the company of friends as they mingle and sing along to their favorite tunes. The new 3,900-square-foot karaoke lounge in Crockett Row will feature eight private karaoke suites with seating for more than 100 guests in the suites, along with an open public lounge area.   Continue reading

Culinary Director, Danyele McPherson says, “We wanted to put together a brunch menu that was both indulgent and healthy at the same time to give a broader array of options to our guests. Pure Milk & Honey: A lighter approach to ice cream

A new type of ice cream shop is now open in Mockingbird Station. Instead of sugar, Pure Milk & Honey serves ice cream sweetened with honey for its soft serve and sundae offerings. Pure Milk & Honey was created by Cindy Chung, who was inspired by her to open a dessert shop after her international expeditions.

2017 Regional Theatre Tony Award Recipient Dallas Theater Center, in collaboration with Southern Methodist University’s Meadows School of the Arts and AT&T Performing Arts Center, presents Public Works Dallas’ As You Like It, a groundbreaking community engagement and participatory theater project designed to deliberately blur the line between professional artists and Dallas community members. Directed and choreographed by Ann Yee, As You Like It will run for five performances from Friday, Aug. 16 to Sunday, Aug. 18 at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre. Performances are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Ticketing information will be released at a later date, but tickets will be free to the public and available at several community locations, by phone and online. Continue reading
