Hudson House Now Serving Brunch

Hudson House, the East Coast inspired neighborhood restaurant located at 4448 Lovers Lane is now serving weekend brunch.

The all-American menu begins with classic cocktails front and center. With the Morning Cure vodka, orange juice, ginger beer, Dad’s Cure Codigo Blanco, lime juice, prosecco, Mom’s Cure Grey Goose, Lillet, lemon juice, prosecco and more, brunch is already looking like a promising start.

Dig into savory dishes such as the Eggs Benny classically prepared with hollandaise and choice of country ham, smoked salmon or lobster; Egg White Frittata with white truffle mushrooms, spinach, tomato, herbed goat cheese, arugula salad; the Hudson Valley Sandwich smoked bacon, cheddar, scrambled eggs, dijonaiise and avocado dip and more classic entrées. Japanese Spring Food Festival April 22nd

Dallas Japanese restaurants, organizations and talents team up to create a fun food festival to highlight favorite Japanese dishes, to celebrate local Japanese talents and to celebrate Haru Matsuri (Spring)!

The Japanese Spring Food Festival will be held on Sunday, April 22, from 5 pm to 9 pm at Niwa Japanese BBQ’s patio and neighboring patio.  Free event. There will be 4 food and drink stations serving yakitori skewers from Niwa Japanese BBQ, sushi and rolls by Y’s Catering Kitchen, ramen debut by Ichigoh (opening Summer 2018) and drinks by George Kaiho of Jettison.  Niwa Japanese BBQ restaurant will be open that day and serving from their full menu. Sixty Vines Opening in Dallas April 16

Sixty Vines – the nationally recognized wine-centric restaurant – will begin transporting Dallasites to Napa/Sonoma Wine Country when it opens its doors on Monday, April 16.

The new restaurant, located at 500 Crescent Court, Ste. 160, will celebrate its grand opening from 5-11 p.m. on Monday. It will feature an indoor/outdoor design that feels fresh, lush, and purposeful. Naturally placed grape vines, wine barrels, and harvest tools create an ambiance similar to a vineyard tasting room. The open kitchen acts as a stage for the chefs to put on a show and enables guests to watch, hear, and smell dishes that are being prepared before they reach the table. Continue reading

Taste of Design District Tonight At 7PM

Community Beer Company has paired up with a group of neighboring restaurants in the Design District. Tonight, April 13th at 7pm Community will host and showcase the area’s restaurants with an event where attendees can sample their food, review menus, and interact with the chef and restaurant employees.

For only $40 per person you can sample food from every participating restaurant plus enjoy local craft brews from Community Beer Company. Look for live music and plenty of door prizes.

Take The Family Fishing!

With spring underway and summer break on the horizon, many Texas families are looking for ways to get outside and connect with nature. In an effort to bring new fishing experiences to families in urban centers, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) will begin stocking thousands of catfish at 18 Neighborhood Fishin’ lakes and ponds across the state starting April 17-20.

Each of the lakes will receive continuous stockings of channel catfish every few weeks through early November – with a brief pause during the heat of August – to ensure there is plenty of time for families looking to spend quality time together outdoors. Continue reading

Adelmo’s Ristorante and La Cave Wine Boutique are hosting a special wine dinner with special guest and winemaker Stefano Liuzzi of Cascina Liuzzi, an Italian winery which opened in 2001 when when Liuzzi’s father and mother decided to purchase a farmhouse in the middle of the vineyards located in Nizza Monferrato, Italy. Since the beginning, Liuzzi cared for his vineyards, enjoying being close to nature.

A fairly new doggery to the Dallas landscape that has been a proven concept for eight years which first opened in Pasadena made its entry this past year and has been building a strong following in Richardson.
