Lobster Bake With Tesar

The busiest chef in Dallas, John Tesar, is back in pop-up mode. The man is unstoppable.

The northeast-native knows summer isn’t complete without a good lobster bake. On August 23rd, Tesar will host a New England-style lobster bake up with a Texas twist. The event will kick-off at 7p.m. at a secret location, to be revealed to ticket holders 48 hours prior. Guests will nosh on fresh New England lobster, steamers, sausage and of course steak, all served in a family-style buffet. Roasted potatoes, French fries, fresh tomato salad, and corn on the cobb will all be served to accompany the meal, as well as homemade peach cobbler and ice cream for dessert. Continue reading

Chef Kenny Mills Tagged To Open Cooper’s Meat Market in Sylvan Thirty

Fresh off the heels of successfully selling his burger venture, Kenny Mill’s Chop House Burger in Arlington, the chef is back in his saddle again. This time as chef in Sylvan Thirty, and of course it involves copious amounts of meat.

Cooper’s Meat Market of San Antonio is staking claim in Sylvan Thirty and will be located next to Cox Farms Market. Chef Mills tells us today that he expects to open in time for the holiday season near the end of October or first of November.  Continue reading

During the DFW Restaurant Week campaign in August, diners can experience a different scene and cuisine each day as they select from more than 130 restaurants across the Metroplex offering delicious three-course prix fixe dinners for either $39 or $49.  Many restaurants will also offer the DFW Restaurant Week Cadillac Lunch, featuring two-course lunches for just $20. Twenty percent of each meal purchased will be donated to one of the charity partners, NTFB or Lena Pope.
