Kenny Bowers Will Give Free Appetizers to Toys for Tots Supporters

In order to assist Texans who need a little extra help this holiday season, all five Kenny’s restaurants will begin accepting donations for Toys for Tots this week.  Beginning today and continuing through December 8, all Kenny’s restaurants will provide a free appetizer to any guest bringing a new, unwrapped toy or gift for Toys for Tots. This promotion will occur in all of Kenny’s restaurants, including Kenny’s Wood Fired Grill and Kenny’s Italian Kitchen in Addison, Kenny’s East Coast Pizza in Plano, and Kenny’s Burger Joint in both Frisco and Plano.

Leela’s Wine Bar Transforms into a Holiday Pop-up Experience, “Holiday House”, Now Through January 1

Leela’s Wine Bar is transforming into a “Holiday House”, for their annual immersive holiday pop-up experience, now through January 1.

While all locations will have holiday house decor and cocktails, the recently reopened Greenville Ave location is the largest transformation at 1914 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75206. 

The yearly collaboration with designer turned entrepreneur Karla Gallegos, founder of The Planting Hand, the popular holiday pop-up returns better than ever. After updates to the interior (also designed by Gallegos), Karla envisioned an “escape from the normal chaos the holidays bring!” She explains, “Expect a decked-out snowy winter vibe this year, perfect for a night celebrating connection with family and friends. Even though there are lots of places for the perfect holiday candid, this pop-up is designed to truly enhance an evening spending time with those you love.”

Sushi | Bar Hospitality to Open Omakase-Style Sushi | Bar and Cocktail Lounge Ginger’s in East Quarter Downtown Dallas on December 1

Sushi | Bar Hospitality announces today, the expansion of Sushi | Bar, the distinguished 17-course omakase experience as well as their new concept, Ginger’s, a classic cocktail lounge, set to open in Downtown Dallas’ East Quarter development on December 1 at 2115 Jackson St, Dallas, TX 75201.  Reservations are available to book now for the month of December.

The popular-omakase style, speakeasy concept opened to great fanfare in Austin in 2020, and was named one of Miami’s hottest new restaurants upon opening in the Esmé Miami Beach Hotel in 2022.

Cantina Laredo’s Tamale Class

When I went into Cantina Laredo, I kept seeing “Modern Mexican” everywhere, so when I interviewed Rambo Saucedo, the chef teaching the lesson in tamales, I asked what he thought that meant. He said it means that they keep the flavors of the past, the traditional dishes and add a little more. It was my first time at Cantina Laredo and I went to their tamale-making class, but after being there and interacting with the staff, I will be back.

Margaret’s at the Marriott in Dallas Arts District

Margaret’s, the three-meal ranch-to-table restaurant at JW Marriott Dallas Arts District, unveils a new seasonal menu featuring autumnal flavors and ingredients. The restaurant is named for beloved Dallas philanthropist Margaret McDermott and is located on the 11th floor of the hotel which opened in July of 2023. The menu was designed by Executive Chef Jonah Friedmann and includes both new creations and several of the quickly-beloved dishes that debuted with the restaurant’s premiere menu earlier this year.

Haystack Burgers & Barleythe family-run neighborhood burger favorite with five locations in DFW is featuring limited-time menu items for the month of November. These specials are available now through November 30 at all locations.

The burger spot is known for its fresh, housemade burgers and warm hospitality.
