Portillo’s Announces Opening of Another Texas Location in Forth Worth

Following a highly successful opening of its first restaurant in Texas earlier this year and recent announcement to expand its footprint within the Dallas-Fort Worth region, Portillo’s the fast-casual restaurant concept known for its menu of unrivaled Chicago-style street food – today announced plans to open another restaurant in the Lone Star State. Portillo’s will open its first restaurant in Fort Worth, which will be located in the North City Development on N. Tarrant Parkway between highway I35 and 287.

New “Neighborhood Gathering Place” from Jon Alexis, Birdie’s Eastside, to Open in East Dallas, Early Winter 2023

Birdie’s Eastsidethe newest concept from Jon Alexis’ Imperial Fizz Hospitality, will open in early Winter 2023. Alexis purchased the 2.2 acre former Luby’s space “with the intent of building something that will serve East Dallas families for many years.” 

Imperial Fizz’s neighborhood-driven projects have grown in size and ambition in a decade-long rollout of popular Dallas concepts -TJ’s Seafood, Malibu Poke, Escondido Tex Mex, Ramble Room. Birdie’s Eastside continues that trajectory – a large-scale bar & grill uniquely designed for East Dallas.  Birdie’s Eastside takes advantage of the former Luby’s sheer size, offering an indoor capacity of 250+ and a 7,000 square foot patio

Perry’s Steakhouse and Grille $44 4-Course Meal Deal Expires July 31st

Perry’s Steak House & Grille is celebrating its 44th birthday with a special offer: a delightful four-course meal for only $44. Choose from a variety of options for each course, including a starter, soup or salad, entrée, and dessert. See the menu here.

The Perry family opened its first restaurant in 1979 in Southeast Houston as a modest meat market called Perry’s Butcher Shop and Deli. In 1986, Chris Perry persuaded his father Bob to add dining tables, which eventually led to an expansion and the opening of a second market. As the markets gained popularity, Chris opened Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille in 1993. The original two butcher shops are also still in operation as Perry & Sons Market & Grille.
