Zalat Pizza to Open First Two Restaurants Within Kroger Marketplace Supermarkets

Zalat Pizza, the Texas-based, award-winning, cult-favorite pizza concept announced the first two locations of a multi-unit development relationship with America’s largest grocery retailer, The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR). Under the agreement, Zalat Pizza will place its popular pickup and on-demand delivery pizza restaurants within Kroger supermarkets. The initial pilot locations will be located in Houston, Texas. The Zalat Pizza to be located at Kroger’s Cypress Towne Lake Marketplace. The second restaurant, to be located at Kroger’s Conroe Marketplace supermarket, is scheduled to open in December 2022. The parties plan to announce the slate of 2023 openings in the next few months.

Happy Hour: Aperol Spritz

The classic Aperol spritz recipe on the back of the Aperol bottle calls for three parts Prosecco (or other sparkling wine), two parts Aperol, and a splash of soda. The concoction is fizzy and vibrantly orange in flavor, softly sweet and just a tiny bit bitter—perfect for sipping before dinner as an aperitivo. Earlier versions of the spritz used Select, which some tasters find more complex, or Campari, which is quite a bit more bitter and bracing. Each Year, the Lowest Greenville Collective hosts a Fall Festival, which is an opportunity for area residents to hang out, support their local businesses and enjoy a fun-filled day of food and drinks. On October 29, everyone is invited out to do exactly that, with activities for the whole family.

Festivities begin at 11 a.m. Adults can secure their entry by purchasing a commemorative Lower Greenville Collective glass between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. That’s your ticket to enjoying an assortment of delicious food and drinks, including beer, wine and cocktail samples. Specials will run until 4 p.m. or later, depending on the venue.

Mister O1, the Pizzeria Hailing from Miami to Open First Texas Location in Dallas October 17

Mister O1, the Miami-born artisanal pizza concept will open its first Texas location in Dallas at 3838 Oak Lawn Ave, Suite P175, Dallas, TX 75219 on Monday, October 17. 

The full-service neighborhood restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week featuring a robust selection of artisanal pizzas with a delicate thin crust style and very light dough, which is prepared and rests for a minimum of 72 hours before being served. In addition, the pizzeria’s dough and sauce contains zero sugar or preservatives. These recipes have been created by Founder and Master Pizza Chef, Renato Viola, exclusively for Mister O1.
