Naan Sushi in Plano Offers Graduates a Deal and Announces Sushi University

Naan Sushi is congratulating local grads with a complimentary roll. Frisco ISD Grads present your student ID from June 1-8 and your table will receive a complimentary “Frisco Roll”. Plano ISD Grad present your student ID from June 5-12 and your table will receive a complimentary “Plano Roll”.

Not that anyone wants to go back to school again, but everyone may register for Naan’s “Sushi University” and expand your knowledge of fine Japanese sushi. Bean curd, or tofu is relatively simple to create by pressing coagulated soy milk into submission which can be soft, firm or extra firm. If you follow us with any sort of regularity you will not we do appreciate our animal filled dinner plates, but it is true we have a soft spot for a well thought out vegetarian or vegan dish.

Tofu definitely has its place at the center of the plate and can be thoroughly delicious. The magic behind tofu, besides its low caloric nature coupled with large amounts of protein and necessary nutrients, is the fact that it is the chameleon of the dining scene. Dallas Tiki Week June 18-22 Save The Dates!

The allure of the tiki is primal. Sweet rum cocktails flowing from interesting vessels, often donning their own faces that stare back unabashed, often with revelry. Tiki bars have made a resurgence after laying dormant hitting their peak in the 70’s that rode on high with class favorites such as Don the Beachcomber and Trader Vic’s.

Don the Beachcomber traces back to its Hollywood roots in the 1930’s when Donn Beach (Earnest Gantt) a former bootlegger opened for business and served powerful concoctions with alluring and exotic monikers such as the Zombie, Navy Grog, Samatra Kula and Tahitian Rum Punch. These seemingly Polynesian drinks were complemented by appetizing taste treats. Experience Happy Hour Next Door

Our weekly Happy Hour series took us to Next Door recently where we were able to sample fine cocktails and  whimsical bar food with a view. Located at 2908 McKinney Avenue Next Door is half patio and have cozy restaurant and bar.

Look for some fun bar bites that are big enough to share including the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Dumplings (8), Tuna Poke Nachos served on crisped wonton with wasabi crema (14), a bevy of steak sliders (14). Legacy West Grand Opening Celebration June 2-4

Legacy West’s grand opening celebrations are scheduled for Friday, June 2-Sunday, June 4, 2017.
