In 2007, an intoxicated Kid Rock got into a fight at an Atlanta restaurant and wound up in jail. In 2013, a woman was arrested for public intoxication at a Loganville, Ga., dining establishment where she mistook a cheeseburger for a shoe and wore it on her foot. And in March, an intoxicated women drove through the front window of a Crestview, Fla., then staggered inside without pants. In 2016 rapper Yung Mazi was shot once again at a restaurant. Urbano Cafe is opening a coffee shop in our Two Doors Down space (located, conveniently, two doors down from the original cafe entrance in the same building.) on Tuesday, Dec. 14. The 2DD coffee shop will be open Tuesday-Saturday 7-2:30 p.m., serving coffee and locally made pastries, savory kolaches and quiches, plus grab-and-go salads and sandwiches so guests can pick up both breakfast and lunch.

We have discussed Tortas Insurgentes before, it is a little Mexican restaurant with the Mexican green VW cab as its mascot located on Northwest Highway and Webbs Chapel in the shopping center anchored by WalMart. They bill themselves as a Mexico City taqueria and I find myself enamoured with this place, dining here at least once a week for breakfast.
The breakfast is cheap and hearty. I usually do not eat until much later in the evening after an early morning repast. Think scrambled egg loaded with chorizo and potatoes served with house-made corn tortillas. These corn tortillas seem to be served only with breakfast as I have been here numerous times for lunch and never see these. But have ordered breakfast for lunch and boom, there they are. Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller announced the start of School Breakfast Week, which runs March 2 through 6, 2020, and reminds Texas students that a great day starts with a healthy breakfast. The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) administers the School Breakfast Program in Texas, collaborating with more than 8,000 schools to serve about 1.8 million morning meals every school day. During School Breakfast Week, eating a super breakfast has special significance as staff, students and faculty join in the celebration.
