Truffle Week at Monarch and Omakase at Kessaku This Month

Monarch, the wood-fired modern Italian restaurant led by two-time Michelin-starred Chef Danny Grant, will celebrate all things decadence and truffles during Truffle Week from February 5th to 11th. At 6 p.m. each day, guests are invited to add on to their meal with a table-side experience of exquisite Black Truffle features and the option for a delicious Mashed Potato Trio featuring various truffle types. Details on the specific truffle features will be announced closer to the date.

Chicago’s popular Maple & Ash restaurant experience is making its way to Dallas for six nights only. Dallasites and visitors alike can reserve seats for the opportunity to taste the coveted menu.  

From Thursday, October 26 – Tuesday, October 31, Monarch is serving Chef Eric Dreyer’s legendary Maple & Ash “IDGAF” menu for a limited time. Aptly named “I Don’t Give a F*ck,” this tasting menu, known for its bold flavors and daring creations, promises guests an unforgettable dining experience.

Monarch Debuts New Items this Fall Season

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Monarch is showing support to raise funds and awareness by offering a special limited-time cocktail with a charitable giveback. 

The limited-time cocktail, Feel the Fizzle, is a refreshing concoction of hibiscus-infused Grey Goose vodka, rose syrup, rose water, coconut cream, lemon juice and soda. For each Feel the Fizzle ordered, Monarch will donate $1 to The Bridge Breast Network, a local organization providing diagnostic and treatment services to low-income, uninsured or underinsured individuals.

First Look: Monarch

Monarch, the highly anticipated wood-fired, modern Italian restaurant led by two-time Michelin-starred Chef Danny Grant has been open for two weeks and is already the hardest reservation to score in town. We were lucky enough to grab one at their opening hour of five o’clock, and here’s our first look.

Catching up with Chef Eric Dreyer

Over the years, Dallas-based chef Eric Dreyer has built a rather impressive resume. He’s worked for The Ritz-Carlton, Fearing’s, HALL Arts Hotel, and even had a brief stint as Oprah’s private chef. In his latest endeavor, Dreyer is working as the executive chef at Monarch in downtown Dallas.

The hotly anticipated Monarch opened last week on the 49th floor of The National Building. The restaurant’s high altitude allows for optimal views of Dallas. The menu boasts modern Italian plates of seafood and steaks imagined by two-Michelin star chef Danny Grant. Monarch also offers seven different kinds of pastas, all made in-house.

Located at the top of The National and alongside the new Thompson Dallas at 1401 Elm St, Dallas, TX 75202, reservations for Monarch can be made at monarchrestaurants.com.

Monarch welcomes guests to a spectacular setting on the 49th floor with soaring 360-degree views of the city. The main dining areas feature more than 280 seats, and the Monarch private dining spaces accommodate various size gatherings from 12-120 people for all types of celebrations.
