Over 25 restaurants will be featuring their Milagro Margaritas on May 17th and 25th from 6-8pm that they will be entering in the Margarita Meltdown for the title of “Best Margarita in Dallas” voted by you. This years event will be held on May 27th, 2012 3pm-10pm.

Chefs For Farmers 2012: Success

As the day began the warm sun was breaking through the clouds greeting each visitor to Lee Park for the 2012 Chefs for Farmers “Mixin It Up On The BLVD” event held this past Sunday. I stood with Iris McCallister as bartender phenom Eddie “Lucky” Campbell took the stage to toast the growing crowd at 11:30am. The official toast would be much later in the day, but this one was to thank the many, many farmers, chefs and volunteers that made the event possible. Iris grinned and you could see she was visibly excited and pointed up to the sky where a wispy vertical rainbow had appeared.  This was going to be a fantastic day.    Continue reading →

Sneak Preview of the Anatole’s Sēr

We know that Chef Anthony Van Camp has taken the lead toque at the Anatole’s Nana, which will soon be on the receiving end of a fresh scrubbing and a multi-million dollar face lift. The restaurant plans to close Nana Grill for good in July and re-open in October 2012 as it’s latest incarnation, Sēr.  Sēr will be billed as a steakhouse, and that decision has met with mixed reviews.     Continue reading →

Adair’s Celebrates 49 Years

Adair’s Saloon was opened in 1963 on Cedar Springs and operated by S.L. and Ann Adair. They were known for cold beer and a half pound cheeseburger that brought in plenty of local college students who were encouraged to let their artistic side out by marking up the walls with graffiti.    Continue reading →

Celebrating 420 Day in Dallas

We have not seen many 420 Day celebrations planned by any restaurants or bars until today.  The first to announce any happenings is Hacienda on Henderson who has plenty to celebrate this weekend. The party starts at 4:20 on Friday, April 20, 2012 and Hacienda will be offering many drink specials and menu items for $4.20 including a special brownie that should get you going for the evening.      Continue reading →
