Santa Paws Heads To Mutts For Holiday Photos

The Austin Food and Wine Alliance did it again, hosting the 7th annual Wine & Swine event.  My day was filled with pig, fine wines, craft beers, liquors, and a ton of smoke.  Although not sure The Gulf Coast Playboys appreciated the smoke as much I did since Texans consider BBQ smoke an aphrodisiac. Dee Lincoln Prime Opening Friday, Dec 1 – Star in Frisco

Dee Lincoln who has been called “The Queen of Steaks” is going back to her fine dining roots with her newest venture Dee Lincoln Prime located at The Star in Frisco. The 8,000 square foot stunner will officially open to the public Friday, December 1.

Dee Lincoln Prime is an upscale steakhouse with Executive Chef TJ Lengnick serving steaks from award-winning and premier purveyor of prime meat, Allen Brothers. Lengnick who’s resume includes working in impressive high-volume, high-end kitchens such as Pappas Bros. Steakhouse, Stephan Pyles, Jasper’s and Shinisei says, “I was blown away when Dee asked me to join her team. I feel I’ve been training for this my entire career. Dallas Restaurants Supporting Human Rights Day

On December 10, 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. “Human Rights Day DFW will encourage us to carve out December 10th each year, to think and talk about what human rights means to each of us,” says Sanjeeb Samanta, Leader of Global Customer Support Operations at Texas Instruments and the HRI board member who conceived the event. “On this day, we’ll come together as a community to show we care for those who have suffered human rights abuse.”  Continue reading

Shell Shack Opening in Fort Worth Early 2018

Since opening its first location in 2013, Shell Shack has quickly proved to be a hit with locals, supplying them with perfectly-seasoned crabs, shrimp, oysters and more. The original Uptown Dallas store has since been joined by others in Plano, Arlington and Mesquite, and now, the concept is expanding to Fort Worth.

Crews have already broken ground on Shell Shack’s new home, which will be located at Parkside at Alliance Town Center. The more than 5,000 square foot interior and 2,262 square foot patio is part of the 3.5-acre project in North Fort Worth’s most exciting development, bringing dining and nightlife destinations to a beautiful setting that looks onto Bluestem Park and includes a live music stage, outdoor seating and fun activities for the whole family, like bocce ball and cornhole.   Continue reading
