Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas

The premier Christmas event in North Texas, Holiday in the Park, returns to Six Flags Over Texas. Bask in wondrous holiday enchantment for the entire family, featuring visits with Santa, the award-winning Christmas At The Southern Palace, the new Holiday Market with a petting zoo, s’mores around a campfire, and more. The park’s most magical time of the year features more than a million glittering lights, festive décor, seasonal foods, holiday entertainment, and thrilling rides to create this winter wonderland experience. Holiday in the Park will take place weekends and select weekdays November 19, 2022 through January 2, 2023.

Dallas Maverick JaVale McGee Hosts Thanksgiving Celebration

To tip off Thanksgiving week, Dallas Mavericks center JaVale McGee will host a Thanksgiving feast for families from Rainbow Days, an organization dedicated to helping children and youth in adversity build coping skills and resilience. Families will join Mascot Champ, ManiAACs, D-Town Crew as they enjoy basketball games, crafts and dinner hosted by McGee himself. 

“Hosting my 12th annual Thanksgiving celebration, I’m honored to give back and feed dozens of families in my hometown of Flint, Michigan, as well families in Dallas,” said McGee. “I’m planning a fun dinner and can’t wait to host the kids at our practice facility and show them around.”

Meaty Brass Ram Opens in Dallas

Chef Nick Badovinus opened yet another restaurant in Dallas, his ninth to be exact. The chef/owner whose concepts range from Town Hearth, Neighborhood Services, Montlake Cut, Desert Racer and others has opened Brass Ram east of Downtown.

Badovinus’ newest restaurant is described as an “homage to classic mid-century prime rib joints,” which means your favorite bourbon and whiskey to pair up with thick prime cuts of beef, tomahawk chops, steakhouse salads and plenty of old school charm.

The fat cat new restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday from 5pm and located at located upstairs at 2130 Commerce Street.

Tarrant Area Food Bank and Harvesting in Mansfield change the time of their Thanksgiving food distribution

Harvesting in Mansfield will be hosting a mega mobile event Monday, November 21st from 9a-Noon; this is a NEW time change than what was previously reported.

As families continue to struggle financially through the current inflation crisis and grocery store shelves remained sparse with product due to supply chain issues, the Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) wants to make it easier on those who are still struggling to provide food on the table.
